Bęc Zmiana Foundation is the honorary patron of OSSA workshop.

This existing since 2002 non-profit organization is the connection between young art and people.  They run a very small space where we turn theory into practice –  this multifunctional place is a gallery space, a bookshop, a cultural information and more.
Bęc Zmiana carry out projects of artists/architects/designers/interdisciplinary minds who are receptive to change, open-minded and imaginative.
They also strive for facilitating encounters between artists and the audience, filling the gap that exists between the artwork and its public.
We would like to invite you to the discussion within International Festival Battle of Ideas.

21st century architecture: for the future or of the present?

The economic crisis in Europe makes it difficult to predict the future, let alone plan it. So what does this mean for architects? Should they seek to put forward a bold vision of the future, despite current uncertainties? Or should they improvise with and adapt existing 20th century architecture? Will new social movements bring about new forms of spatial organization, and if so what role can architects play?
